Burlington, Bradford County, Pennsylvania
Wright moved to Burlington in 1849 or 1850.[2] He married Marie Louisa Nichols (Nicholas) April 15, 1851.[need citation] Marie was born June 8, 1829 to Earl Nichols and Ursula Clark of Burlington.[4] Marie was born June 8, 1829.[need citation]
In 1854, Wright was a delegate to the first Republican Party convention in Pennsylvania.[2] In March of that year, former Whig Party members in Ripon, Wisconsin met to discuss forming a new party. The Whigs were falling apart and created the new party to attract other disillusioned members, Freesoilers, No Nothings, and others. On November 27, 1854 the Republican Party of Pennsylvania was formed in the house of David Wilmot in Towanda, Bradford County. Other prominent men of the Commonwealth were present and began forming local "Republican Clubs" in their home counties. The organizing convention for the national party was held at Pittsburg [sic] in February 1856 and the nominating convention was at Philadelphia in June of that year.[5] We do not know if Wright was at David Wilmot's house but it is probably even money they were acquainted.
1856-1857
Wright and Marie had one child:
- Clara Adelaide Spencer was born May 3, 1856 (d. 1912)[need citation]
Marie died January 27, 1857 of dropsy and is buried at Mt. Lake Cemetery. Dropsy is an abnormal accumulation of fluid beneath the skin; today we would call it Edema.
1858
Wright then married Cynthia Ross in 1858.[need citation] Cynthia was born October 29, 1838[need citation], probably in Burlington. They had the following children:
- Lincoln Abraham "L. A." Spencer[6][7] was born in Pennsylvania
- Jennie Spencer[8][9] was born in Michigan
- Wright Henry Spencer[10][11] was born in Michigan
- Earl "Early" Spencer[12]

Spencer Real Estate and Abstract Office.[2] Between 1862 and 1866 Wright was a Supervisor for Indian Fields.[2] Between 1872 and 1876 he was the Register of Deeds in Tuscola County.[2] From 1887 to 1888 he was the second district representative to the Michigan legislature.[2]

Wright and Cynthia then moved to Los Gatos in 1893.[14] Clara ("Adie") followed and married Gustav Wilhelm Krenkel[15], son of August Philemon Krenkel and Ernestine Moldenhauer from Lobsens, Prussia on August 8, 1894.[need citation] Gustav was a sailor.[15]
Clara and Gustav had one son: Harry Nichols Krenkel (1895-1977).[15] Clara died March 22, 1912 in Los Gatos.[need citation]
Wright died on June 8, 1901 in Los Gatos.[need citation] Cynthia died February 8, 1914.[need citation]
