Lyman Spencer (1803-1898)
From My Research Wiki
Lyman Spencer was born January 9, 1803 in Pawling, Dutchess County, New York to Enoch Spencer (1779-1869) and Lydia Turner (c1784-1840).
Lyman married Esther Brownell (1805-1885) about 1826 in Pawling.
Lyman moved to Burlington, Bradford County, Pennsylvania between 1865 and 1867. Family tradition says that Lyman walked all the way from Pawling to Burlington[1], which tells us the family probably took several days to make the journey. His great-grandson, Dr Ezra B SELLECK, aged 95 (ca 1982), recalls that Lyman was still vigorous into his nineties, walking around to see his various children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren[2].
Lyman died April 17, 1898 and was buried two days later at Mt. Lake Cemetery.
