Marriage
Mary Ann married John O. Huff (1837-1887) on December 24, 1864 in Sussex County. John was her first cousin once removed. That is, Mary's grandmother was her husband's aunt.
John and Mary Ann moved to Standing Stone Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania between 1868 and 1870. Her parents also moved and both families lived in the present-day Keene Summit area (they were also related to the Keene's). John and Mary lived on the Keene Summit Road (PA State Route 1023) leading from the church and cemetery down the mountain to US Route 6 (Grand Army of the Republic Highway). John died in February 1887.
Mary briefly married Daniel Campbell in 1890 but it is unclear how long she lived with him. In 1902 she got a divorce and filed to receive benefits from John's military pension. She was taking in laundry according to the pension applications.

| Wysox Woman Meets Instant Death While Picking Coal Along Tracks |
| Mrs. Mary Huff of Wysox, 75 years old, was struck and instantly killed by the Lehigh Valley work train Saturday morning about 6:30 o'clock just above the Wysox Station.
Mrs. Huff had left home a few minutes before the accident and was slowly walking along the tracks in the direction of Wysox, picking up stray lumps of coal along the way. A freight train, going in the direction of Towanda, was approaching. Mrs. Huff stepped off the west bound track in order to avoid the oncoming train. The work train, en route from Towanda to Tunkhannock, was coming along the eat bound track at a moderate rate of speed, but Mrs. Huff did not see or hear it. She stepped from in front of the west bound train directly in front of the east bound train. The locomotive struck and hurled her half way down the bank. Her head was crushed and she was dead when the trainmen reached her. The body was removed to the Maryott undertaking parlors. Mrs. Huff is survived by three children, Mrs. G. A. Campbell of Wysox, Mrs. G. B. Parks of Ulster, and Mahlon Huff of Wysox; one sister, Mrs. C. M. Mingle of Ulster; and three brothers, Abraham, William and Nichols [sic] Crawn of Towanda. The funeral will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Further services will be held at the Keene Summit church at 1:30. The Rev. W. K. Frisbie, pastor of the Wysox Presbyterian church will officiate. Internment in the Keene Summit cemetery. |
