Ancestor Code Table
The association created a system to identify various Menges, including any alternate spellings, that immigrated. The system assigns a letter to each male immigrant, adds a "W" for his wife. The adult immigrant generation is assigned the number "1"; the number is increased for each generation after the immigrant (e.g. A1, A2, A3, etc).
