Muriel L. Shay (1905-1985)

Muriel Louise Shay, also called Louise, was born October 27, 1905 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania^[1][2]. Her parents were Jeremiah M. Shay (1857-1937)^[1] and Jane A. Grady (1859-1926). Muriel was the youngest of 14.

Muriel graduated from St. Agnes High School in Towanda in 1924.^[3][4]

In 1926, Louise was a nurse, renting a room from her father at 513 Third Street in Towanda (need citation; this note from a "city directory").

Children

Muriel married Richard D. Fahey (1902-1965) and they had the following children:

1. Philip J. Fahey married and had 4 children
2. Frederick "Fred" Fahey married and had 5 children
3. Russell Fahey married and had 3 children

In May 1977, Louise was living in Waverly, New York, as reported by The Daily Review obituary of her sister, Elizabeth L. Shay (1893-1977).

Muriel died in 1985 and is buried in the Waverly Catholic Cemetery.^[5]
