Naturalized citizen

A naturalized citizen is a foreign-born national (person) who has completed the requirements to become a citizen of the United States. The exact requirements have changed over time, such as the number of years a person must reside in the United States before applying. Once the process is complete, however, the naturalized citizen has all the same rights, privileges, and responsibilities as a natural citizen except a naturalized citizen cannot serve as President.
