Philip G. Huff (1854-1922)

Philip Garis Huff was born August 5, 1854 in Walpack Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. His parents were William C. Huff (1818-1898) and Catharine Losey (1818-1882). He was named for a neighbor, Philip Garris (Garriss), who lived across the Flatbrookville-Stillwater road from the Huffs.

He married Stella T. Crawn (1854-1935), his step sister. That is, her mother was Mary Tirsa Hill (1832-1898) who was William Huff's second wife. Stella was the daughter of John H. Crawn (1828-1908) and Mary Tirsa Hill. Only a little complicated. Philip and Stella married on April 6, 1872 in Sussex County.

Philip died March 27, 1922.
