Sarah Margaret Huff was born January 2, 1874 to John O. Huff (1837-1887) and Mary Ann Crawn (1843-1920) in Standing Stone Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. She was called Maggie as a child and early adulthood; later she would use Margaret or Sarah.

Maggie married Joseph F. Williams (1872-1908) about March 18, 1889. The marriage record at the Bradford County Courthouse is barely filled out so the date is an estimate. She was 15 years, 2 months and he was 16 years, 7 months. It was definitely a quick wedding because we know she gave birth on July 21, 1889 less than 4 months, 3 days later.

The family moved to Walpack Township, Sussex County, New Jersey for a while before moving back to Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

The widowed Sarah married Garn A. Campbell December 22, 1911 in Towanda. They adopted a child (that might have been related to Garn) but they did not have any children.

Sarah died July 14, 1940 from injuries caused by a farm accident on June 22. A family tradition has it that Sarah Campbell was helping her husband Garn in the fields when her hat fell off. She got off the tractor to retrieve it and Garn backed the tractor up, apparently oblivious to her movements, and pinned her. She died the day she was to come home from the hospital of a blood clot. She was taken to the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania after the accident.
