Theophilus Spencer (1732-1793)

Theophilus Spencer was born December 27, 1732 in East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island to Michael Spencer (1709-1793) and [[Zilpha Closson (c1710-c1738). He was the only child born to Zilpha; all other brothers and sisters were born by his aunt, Abigail Closson (c1718-1758).

Theophilus married Elizabeth Matteson (1744-?) on November 11, 1757, probably in East Greenwich. He moved to Dutchess County, New York sometime before 1779.
